Harris Home School Academy prides itself on the relationships with community partners! We value the experiences our families have through events and activities throughout Georgia.

The Dwight G. Harris Home School Academy was created from the need of support and resources for parents who need assistance and guidance with homeschooling their children. We aim to be a place for wrap-around services for the community when it comes to their children's educational needs. We are here to lighten the load of locating the right services and academic support for all students. Students with disabilities are welcome to come and take advantage of our services. We have certified exceptional education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and behavioral therapists on staff. We even have professional athletes on staff to assist with getting your children prepared for participation in sports at every level.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive services to parents and children to make the home school experience fun for children and stress-free for the parents.

Sonia Jackson, the founder of the Dwight G. Harris Home School Academy, saw a need in the community to have resources readily available to parents who want to home school their children but do not know where to start. Through her personal journey in public education and her families interactions with the public school system, she saw the need for families to have the same supports when they wanted to educate their children in a nontraditional manner.

The academy is named after her father, who is able to watch the wonderful outcome of the love for education that was instilled in her as a child. Mrs. Jackson is passionate about helping families, education and growth in the community. We are dedicated to providing a holistic educational experience that caters to the unique needs of homeschooling families in Georgia. Our commitment to academic excellence and personalized support sets us apart in the field of homeschooling education.
